It consists of the following 5 steps and guarantees you a complete, fast and personal instruction in the use of our drainage systems as well as the ordering of materials after discharge from the hospital. This is our contribution to your aftercare.
Hospital discharge
After successful implantation of the catheter and while you are still in the hospital, the hospital will send us the training-related data so that we can inform you and, if necessary, the patient. Be able to contact your family or care provider.
Scheduling an appointment with one of our training staff
A training employee from your area will contact you, your family caregivers or the contracted care service by telephone in a timely manner so that there is no gap in care for you. Our training staff will bring all the necessary materials and documents to the appointment - you do not need to make any preparations for this.
Training
Our training staff will come to your home with the initial care material. Step by step, under guidance, the first drainage is performed. It will be explained to you or the nursing staff in detail how you should carry out the dressing change. Our training staff will be happy to answer any other questions you may have. Finally, you will receive a folder with all the contents of the training to read again.
Reordering the materials
For follow-up drainage material, you must request a follow-up prescription from your primary care physician. Since the drainage material is not available in pharmacies or medical supply stores, please send your prescription to us. For this purpose, you will find 2 postage-paid envelopes in your patient folder. Keep an eye on your material inventory, as you need to keep in mind that there are approximately 5 business days between letter posting and our material delivery. The material is delivered by parcel service directly to your home.
Returns and returns
If you no longer need the material, please return the goods still in their original packaging. To do this, order the material return directly from ewimed at the following telephone number: +49 7471 73972-0.
The parcel service will then arrange a pick-up date with you.
