The PleurX™ Drainage Set
The PleurX™ drainage sets are bottles with a suction function. The capacity of the reservoirs is 500ml or 1000ml, depending on the amount of effusion and the doctor’s recommendation.
In the case of pleural effusions, the use of vacuum bottles provides the option of pleurodesis (pleural adhesion) in up to 70% of certain patient. You can learn more about this in our FAQs.
